In this article I’d like to share a couple of tips and tricks with you regarding the ever so important practice called Link Building. For those who didn’t yet read my previous articles or have not much information about search engine optimization, link building is the measurement of a website’s popularity based on the quality and quantity of links that are pointing the crawlers towards the specific website. And believe it or not, there are some free ways to get links for you, which is huge considering that the process is generally slow and requires the participation of a networking expert.

Let’s see the list:
  • Craigslist: if you offer anything that can be sold, a free classified will not even help your business but will create a pretty good organic linking
  •
  • Ask and Answer: websites such as Quora are websites where you can interact, network and also include links. There are tons of other websites like this. If your business is travel or tourism related, pages like LonelyPlanet can do wonders for you.
  •
  • User Google Groups as a forum and also for posting links as means to answer
  •
  • Why not create a website for yourself on Wikipedia?  This may seem outlandish but in real, it’s something you can do.
  •
  • Present yourself on Hub Pages (formerly Squidoo) you can make yourself look like an authority in your line of business plus it’s a very highly visited website so it can give you a great link.
  •
  • There are pages which are used as collective pages for bloggers and they are fairly well visited. This includes pages such as Digg or the more underground Reddit. You can get plenty of visits from these websites if the post is linking to your website.
  •
  • Work on reviews or even set up your „web shop” on huge sites such as Amazon or EBay. There are tons of shops who receive tons more attention this way plus this generates a natural link.
  •
  • Pages like Amazon give you the chance to create your free product list and have some work to get as many positive reviews as possible.
  •
  • Work on review sites such as ePinion where you can basically build your brand and authority in your line of business.
Warning: some of the upper mentioned sites may have received the “nofollow” attribute since (which means they won’t be indexed or ranked therefore they lose relevance) this you can check out with a good SEO link building software.

I hope this has helped you open your eyes to some of the free link building possibilities there are in the world of internet. This technique when it’s being performed by a real expert has the tendency pays off way more than actually paying for the best affiliate marketing sites for many reasons, including business and ranking. I definitely suggest you to check out a link building expert to help you with your site’s links.
