We all know that it is not easy to grow a business. An entrepreneur can never assume that he does not need to do anything now, because every-time he completes a certain task a new one is added to the list. Working for an entrepreneur becomes complex when the income is inconsistent and that’s when he starts thinking of various strategies to grow his business. Although there is nothing that can possibly compete with having a compelling product or service which is definitely a true game changer, there are certain marketing tactics that can make a recognizable difference for entrepreneurs and SEO is equally critical for the startups and SEO firms. When there is money related stress, a lot of entrepreneurs give up on their startups. However, growth strategies are not just good; there are bad strategies as well which can harm your business and which should be avoided. These suspicious strategies have been observed to be increasing day by day and they might seem to be problem solving strategies but they usually aren’t.

Here are those shady strategies that an entrepreneur should not indulge in:

1.Including People To Your Email List Without Them Signing Up-  Today, everyone uses email and there are a few norms that you need to follow. In case you include people to your email list who haven’t given their consent, it might go against you. It is however illegal to add someone to your list without asking for their permission. It is quite common these days to interact with someone on LinkeIn or ask for their email address, and later the same people add you in their email list mistaking the interaction as your consent. Honestly, people hate this tactic and if you do it too then you must instantly stop doing it. You must always take care of what impression you are going to leave on people with your steps, because first impression actually counts. Let people make their decisions and do not decide for them.

2.Including People To Your Facebook Group Without Asking For Their Permission- This one is quite similar to the email list but this is something people indulge more in. Every other day entrepreneurs get added into random Facebook groups which do not win their interest at all. Most entrepreneurs keep trying to bind their notifications and each everything that they are involved in. Rather than just adding someone according to your wish, it is better to send them an invitation to join a particular Facebook group.


3.Trying To Sell To Someone As Soon As You Connect With Them- This is an obvious point but do not assume that everyone is going to appreciate this. People generally like to buy from someone whom they can trust and whom they like. Referrals are something that attracts people to connect and this is an easy way to sell. Trying to sell right away after connecting makes you seem desperate and nobody really likes to work with desperate entrepreneurs. Everything needs time and people would also need time to know you, get some value out of you so that they can get interested in what you are offering.
